The Sovrina Metal Orb Vintage Pendant brings European retro charm to porches and patios. A spherical aluminum frame cradles a clear glass shade, creating a classic orb silhouette that looks equally at home on a farmhouse porch, a garden pergola, or a modern entryway. Choose black for clean, modern contrast or bronze for warm, old-world elegance that complements brick, stone, and timber exteriors.
Three sizes let you match the pendant to the scale of your space, from a compact orb for narrow porches to a larger statement piece for wide entrances and covered patios. A 19.7 inch adjustable hanging chain is included, so you can set the drop to suit your ceiling height and sight lines. The rust-resistant aluminum body and IP54 rating make it ideal for sheltered outdoor locations such as eaves and covered porches.
A standard E27 socket accepts LED or vintage Edison-style bulbs; bulb not included. Pair it with a warm white bulb for a cozy, inviting glow through the clear glass. The pendant is hardwired on 110 to 220V and controlled by a wall switch, so we recommend installation by a qualified electrician. Order single lights or save with sets of two to eight, and switch off the power before wiping clean with a dry cloth.

How to choose the right light for your space
1. Start with the space
Decide where the light will live and what it needs to do. A dining room or kitchen island needs focused light over a surface. A living room or bedroom usually wants a softer, wider glow. An entryway or porch needs light that welcomes people and helps them see the steps. Outdoors, note whether the spot is covered, like a porch ceiling or pergola, or fully exposed to rain.
2. Get the size right
For a chandelier or pendant centered in a room, a common rule of thumb is to add the room's length and width in feet. The total is a good fixture diameter in inches. A 12 × 14 ft room, for example, suits a fixture about 26 inches wide. Over a dining table, look for a fixture about one-half to two-thirds the width of the table. Over an island, two or three smaller pendants often look better than one large one. Every listing shows full dimensions, so measure before you order.
3. Hanging height and clearance
Over a dining table or island, the bottom of the fixture usually sits about 30–36 inches above the surface. In walkways, hallways and entries, leave enough headroom for people to pass comfortably underneath. In rooms with taller ceilings, hang the fixture a little lower so it doesn't feel lost. Fixtures with an adjustable chain or cord let you fine-tune the height after installation.
4. Choose how it's powered
Hardwired fixtures connect to your home's wiring and work with a wall switch. They need an electrical box at the mounting spot, and we recommend a qualified electrician for installation. Solar fixtures need no wiring, so they suit gardens, pergolas and spots without power. Their runtime depends on how much direct sun the panel gets. Each listing shows its power options.
5. Pick the right color temperature
Color temperature is measured in Kelvin (K). Warm white, around 2700–3000K, gives the soft, amber glow most people want in living spaces, dining rooms and outdoor seating areas. Neutral white, around 3500–4000K, feels crisper and works well in kitchens and work areas. For a calm, inviting feel, stay on the warmer side. Each listing shows its color temperature.
6. Check the weather rating for outdoor lights
Outdoor fixtures carry an IP (Ingress Protection) rating. The first number covers dust and the second covers water: the higher the number, the more protection. A rating like IP44 resists splashing water and suits covered spots like porches. IP54 adds dust protection. IP65 holds up against jets of water, so it's a good fit for fully exposed walls and gardens. Each outdoor listing shows its rating.
7. Match the finish and style
Pick a finish that works with what's already in the room: cabinet hardware, faucets, door handles or outdoor fixtures. Black suits modern and farmhouse spaces, while gold and brass add warmth to classic and European interiors. Clear glass shows off the bulb and spreads light widely. Frosted or ribbed glass softens glare. If you're using several fixtures in one view, keep the finish the same so the space feels pulled together.
